Calella de Palafrugell is located in a spectacular spot, nestled between rocks crowned by pine woods and crystal clear coves. The fisherman’s village where Josep Pla used to spend his summers has stood the test of time and its white houses, the boats on the beach and its postcard looks still remain. Its coves, promenade, terraces and restaurants make it a must-see for anyone visiting Mas de Torrent.
To the north, the promenade leads to Llafranc, in just 20 minutes’ walk between the sea and the pine trees. To the south, the promenade takes us to the nearby cape of Cap Roig which is home to the Botanical garden, known for its famous music festival. Also internationally famous is the Cantada de Habaneras on whose beaches thousands of people gather every year to listen to the nostalgic melodies of Caribbean folk who settled on Costa Brava.
